ヘルシンキノコとは
What is Helsieni?
“Sieni”はフィンランド語でキノコ。Helsieniは、この”sieni”をもじって名づけられました。フィンランドの首都ヘルシンキを拠点に、資源を循環させながらキノコを栽培するノウハウを広めている会社です。
都心に位置する自社農場では、キノコ栽培にコーヒーかすを利用しています。地元のレストランからコーヒーかすを回収し、ヒラタケの栽培に活用後、栽培したキノコをレストランに供給するという循環経済の実現に努めています。
そして”家庭で出たコーヒーかすを再利用しキノコを栽培する”、という同じ循環のサイクルをご家庭でも楽しんでいただくことを目指しています。
“Sieni” means “mushrooms” in Finnish. We are from Helsinki and we help people to grow mushrooms.
We grow mushrooms from coffee waste in our urban farm. We apply the circular economy principles by collecting coffee from restaurants, growing oyster mushrooms from it, and supplying the restaurants with the mushrooms.
We want everybody to do the same: we help people growing their own mushrooms at home, from their own coffee grounds.

循環経済を信念に、日本の環境目標の達成や、限られた資源の中でより良い環境づくりを実現するため、日本の都心付近へ農場を設立し、キノコ栽培キットの更なるラインナップの追加を計画しています。

Later we will develop a similar urban farm in Japan and more products to grow mushrooms at home, based on the same principles of circular economy, to match sustainability targets of Japan and make our lives greener and smarter, in an environment of limited resources.
なぜ日本に?
Why Japan?
フィンランドと日本には、キノコ好きであるという共通点があります。
世界でも比類なき日本のキノコ栽培の専門的知識や時を超えて受け継がれる伝統から学びつつ、栽培方法に”フィンランド流”を取り入れることで日本の”遺産”に敬意を表することが私たちのミッションです。
ヘルシンキノコの栽培に必要なのはコーヒー、DIY精神、忍耐力、そして好奇心だけ。
日本とフィンランドは、SDGsの実現に努めている国々でもあります。日本から学び、フィンランドで進化したヘルシンキノコの画期的なキノコ栽培方法は、「持続可能な未来」を作ってゆくための両国の叡智の結集とも言えるでしょう。
